KProject Khaleesi

Community cat rescue & TNR · Albany, Georgia

One extraordinary cat inspired a mission.

Project Khaleesi helps community cats through rescue, trap-neuter-return, compassionate care, and practical education—one life at a time.

A personal, couple-led project rooted in our own neighborhood.

How it began

Love became responsibility—and loss became a legacy.

01

One cat appeared

After we moved into our home, a male community cat began showing up. We fed him because we couldn’t ignore a life asking for help.

02

Then came many

One cat became several, followed by multiple litters. There was joy, but also loss—and a growing understanding that feeding alone was not enough.

03

We cared for them ourselves

For a long time, we supported the outdoor strays and ferals out of our own pockets, giving them food, care, and kindness.

04

Khaleesi’s love lives on

After Khaleesi passed away unexpectedly, we made this work public in her honor—so more cats could know what love feels like.

“Every life we help becomes part of Khaleesi’s legacy.”
